Joe Mixon Looking Forward To 2019 Season
5 years agoCincinnati Bengals running back Joe Mixon is looking forward to getting the 2019 season rolling and is as equally excited about playing under first-year head coach Zac Taylor. “Just the stuff that coach does. Putting the back in the position to win one-on-one battles,” remarked Mixon. While the third-year back still has his fair share of skeptics, he appears eager to get the season off the ground. During Taylor’s run as an offensive assistant in Los Angeles, he was partially responsible for overseeing Todd Gurley’s success, with Gurley rushing for 2,556 yards and 30 touchdowns over two seasons. Though he may not be a top-five back on paper, he could be one of the most efficient runners in the league this season, as long as he can remain healthy and despite having one of the worst offensive lines in the league.
