2 years agoSan Diego Padres pitcher Joe Musgrove (8-0) allowed two runs on five hits and a walk while striking out nine in seven innings in Thursday's victory over the Chicago Cubs. He picked up his ninth win of the season. On Thursday, the 29-year-old was efficient again, striking out a season-high nine batters. He threw 106 pitches, landing 75 for strikes. The right-hander owns a 1.59 ERA, 0.92 WHIP, and 81 strikeouts over 79 innings in 2022. Musgrove has yet to lose a game this season and will look to improve to 9-0 in his next start against the Arizona Diamondbacks on Thursday.--Brad Camara - RotoBaller
