Joe Musgrove Rocked By Cardinals
6 years agoPittsburgh Pirates starting pitcher Joe Musgrove gave up eight earned runs in three innings pitched Thursday night against the Cardinals. Musgrove gave up six hits and issued five walks in a start to forget. The performance raised his ERA from 2.63 to 4.20. This is back-to-back rough outings for the 26-year-old righty after starting the season strong. Despite the poor recent performance, Musgrove is still worth rostering in most mixed leagues. In all five of his April starts, Musgrove completed at least six innings while giving up three runs or less. He has a good matchup at Arizona next time out, so owners should at least hold onto him through that start, even if it's hard to trust him in your lineup at the moment.
