Joe Musgrove Strikes Out Seven In No-Decision
3 years agoSan Diego Padres pitcher Joe Musgrove allowed one run on six hits and two walks while striking out seven across six innings in Saturday's 4-2 loss to the Pittsburgh Pirates. He did not factor into the decision. The 29-year-old cruised through most of the game, allowing one run in the third frame. He was in the line for the win until San Diego's closer Taylor Rogers blew the save by surrendering a three-run shot to Ke'Bryan Hayes. Musgrove has been terrific this season, posting a 5-0 record, a 1.86 ERA, 0.98 WHIP, and 58:11 K: BB over 58 innings in 2022. The Padres right-hander is scheduled to face the Milwaukee Brewers on the road Friday night for his next start.
