Joe Musgrove Takes The Loss Saturday
3 years agoSan Diego Padres starting pitcher Joe Musgrove delivered a quality start Saturday against the New York Mets, but he was saddled with the loss even so, dropping his record to 6-4. Musgrove allowed three runs on four hits and a walk while striking out seven in 6 1/3 innings, with the biggest blow coming on a Francisco Lindor two-run home run in the bottom of the first inning. Musgrove has pitched considerably better than his record would indicate, with a 2.50 ERA, 0.83 WHIP, and 96 strikeouts in 72 innings. He's a locked-in weekly starter for fantasy purposes.
