3 years agoSan Diego Padres starting pitcher Joe Musgrove was superb on Thursday night, tossing 6 2/3 innings of shutout baseball as his club bullied the Braves to a 12-1 win. The right-hander picked up his first win of 2022 as he struck out six without walking a batter and allowing just four hits in his impressive 89-pitch effort. Musgrove is picking up where he left off after a breakout year in 2021 as he's now allowed only two earned runs through 12 2/3 IP (1.42 ERA) in the early going with 14 punch outs and no bases on balls. The 29-year-old will look to keep up his hot start in a matchup versus the Reds at home next week.--Riley Mrack - RotoBaller
