4 years agoToronto Blue Jays infielder Joe Panik went 4-for-4 and hit his first homer of the season as the Jays defeated the Indians 11-2 on Friday night in seven innings. The veteran took Eli Morgan deep for a two-run shot in the third inning as he finished the day with three RBI and two runs scored. He was overdue for a few hits after missing half of May with a calf strain and entering the game with a .211 BA, but his performance tonight has him back up to a respectable .262 mark. With Cavan Biggio on the IL, Panik will play nearly everyday especially with his defensive versatility all around the infield. However, it's not enough to consider him for a fantasy spot in anything other than an AL-only format.--Riley Mrack - RotoBaller
