Joe Panik May Need Thumb Surgery
7 years agoSan Francisco Giants second baseman Joe Panik will see a specialist in Los Angeles about his thumb injury. Manager Bruce Bochy said there is a “good chance” that Panik will need thumb surgery and that would likely cost him six-to-eight weeks. Kelby Tomlinson will likely see most of the at-bats at second base with Panik hurt and can be avoided in all formats for now.
