7 years agoSan Francisco Giants second baseman Joe Panik (thumb) took batting practice for the first time on Tuesday since being placed on the disabled list April 28. Panik told reporters that he had no limitations with his swing and was able to grip the bat strongly and without any issues. There is a good chance that Panik begins a rehab assignment next week. Panik is still a few weeks away from returning but could be worth stashing in deeper leagues.--Andy Webb - RotoBaller
