5 years agoThe Dallas Stars officially signed free-agent center Joe Pavelski (Sharks) to a three-year contract with an annual average value of $7 million. Pavelski was still super productive, even at 34 years old, posting 38 goals with 64 points across 75 games while posting 12 power-play goals and 21 points on the man advantage. He has 64 or more points in each of his past five seasons. Sure, his production has been declining every so slightly in small increments, but he is still a beast in the middle. He and newcomer Corey Perry give the Stars since nice added punch up front, as well as plenty of playoff experience and veteran leadership.--Daniel Dobish
