Joe Ross Eying Fifth Rotation Spot
4 years agoWashington Nationals starting pitcher Joe Ross, who opted out of the 2020 season due to the coronavirus, is in a competition with Erick Fedde, Austin Voth and Rogelio Armenteros for the team's fifth starter role. Ross, who has had the most MLB success of the quartet, likely would have had the job last year before he opted out, but now volume is concern as he's only thrown 80 innings the last three seasons. Even if he earns the starting job, wait and see how he does before considering rostering him in standard leagues.
