Joe Ross Takes Loss Against Cubs Saturday
3 years agoWashington Nationals starting pitcher Joe Ross had a tough go of it against the Chicago Cubs Saturday, allowing five runs (four earned) on seven hits and a walk in 4 1/3 innings. He struck out five batters and took the loss, dropping his record on the year to 5-9. Ross has had a strong season, and this is only the fifth time in his 18 starts that he's allowed more than three earned runs. With a 4.00 ERA, 1.22 WHIP, and 100 strikeouts in 96 2/3 innings, Ross is at least a solid streaming option going forward.
