Joe Thomas Expected To Decide On Future Soon
7 years agoCleveland Browns left tackle Joe Thomas is expected to make a decision soon about whether he will continue his playing career or retire. The future Hall of Fame left tackle suffered a torn triceps during the 2017 season, which caused him to miss game time for the first time in his NFL career. Thomas spoke at the Positive Coaching Alliance on Tuesday night and told the audience that his announcement is "right around the corner." He continued to state, "As far as a decision goes, we're still kind of working through that process." There's a good chance he could make up his mind by Wednesday at 4:00 PM, when the new league year officially opens. The Browns have been active in securing reinforcements in case Thomas retires, signing free-agent offensive linemen Chris Hubbard and Donald Stephenson. They were also rumored to be interested in Nate Solder, who opted to sign with the New York Giants on Wednesday morning.
