6 years agoSan Jose Sharks center Joe Thornton extended his point streak to three games on Thursday against Dallas in a very special outing. He skated in his 1500th game, becoming the first No. 1 overall pick of the NHL Draft to reach the milestone. Jumbo Joe picked up an assist on Joe Pavelski's goal. Thornton will be 40 next July and he's had a lot of injury problems over the last couple of years, but he's looked good since recovering from his latest setback. With the top line struggling, the team needs offense from somewhere else and Thornton has managed to provide some from the third line.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
