Joey Bart Going For MRI Exam
2 years agoSan Francisco Giants catcher Joey Bart (ankle) injured his ankle on Monday on a swing and wasn't available to play on Tuesday against the San Diego Padres. He went for X-rays, which came back negative, but he'll undergo an MRI exam on Wednesday. It doesn't sound like Bart is dealing with a serious injury, but we'll know for sure after his MRI results come back. Fantasy managers shouldn't expect him to be in Wednesday's lineup for the series finale against the Padres. Austin Wynns will most likely do the catching against Padres left-hander Sean Manaea. Bart is hitting only .214/.305/.393 on the year with nine home runs, 17 RBI, 23 runs scored and two stolen bases in 168 at-bats for the Giants.
