4 years agoSan Francisco Giants catcher Joey Bart will enter the starting lineup for Monday’s contest against Colorado after Chadwick Tromp was scratched for an undisclosed reason. Bart, the club’s top prospect, has scuffled mightily in his first big league exposure, having struck out in 34.9% of his plate appearances. With just a .606 OPS across his first 25 games, much of the season-long intrigue that Bart held upon his callup has taken a step backward. Tromp has similarly had a difficult time getting on-base (.219), with any kind of injury likely ending his season with so few games remaining.--Jesse Borek
