4 years agoSan Francisco Giants catching prospect Joey Bart has been fielding ground balls at first base at the team's alternate training site in Sacramento. There's been momentum towards a possible call up for the 13th ranked prospect in baseball, but manager Gabe Kapler continues to dance around the subject. With Buster Posey opting out of the season, it makes sense for the club to see what they have with the youngster in a year where they won't be competing for a pennant. The fact that he could play first base is a bonus, so fantasy managers in deeper leagues should consider adding Bart before his price tag inflates with an official promotion.--Riley Mrack - RotoBaller
