3 years agoNew York Yankees outfielder Joey Gallo went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in a 6-5 win over the Twins Monday. Gallo was just 3-for-30 in September coming into the game, so his two-hit effort was a much-needed one. The slugger crushed his home run at 110.2 MPH, as he continues to hit the ball hard when he makes contact. Unfortunately, he hasn't been doing a lot of that lately, as evidenced by his 42.1 percent strikeout rate and 58.2 percent contact rate since September 1. Gallo's finish to the season will hinge upon him improving on those numbers because the power ability is always there with him.--Tim Capurso
