3 years agoTexas Rangers outfielder Joey Gallo is not in the starting lineup on Saturday as he is simply getting a day off, according to Evan Grant of the Dallas Morning News. Grant reports that this is just a day off for Gallo — who has struggled since the All-Star break — and that this is not due to any potential trade. Gallo has been one of the names being thrown around as potentially on the move as it gets closer to the deadline, but like Grant said, Gallo has struggled over his last eight games, slashing .080/.179/.160 with 13 strikeouts in 28 plate appearances. There could still be a trade for Gallo at some point over the next week, but until then, Eli White is getting the start in right field and is batting second against the Astros.--Michael Grennell - RotoBaller
