Joey Lucchesi Burned By Fielding Woes
5 years agoSan Diego Padres starter Joey Lucchesi allowed three runs (two earned) on Wednesday en route to his fourth loss of the year. The southpaw fired 90 pitches in six frames, garnering six strikeouts while allowing five hits and two walks. It was a disappointing outing for Joey Fuego in a cake matchup and he sits with a 4.11 ERA, 1.13 WHIP and 9.0 K/9 through 13 starts. Durability has been an issue for the 26-year-old, having surpassed six innings just five times, but he’s earned quality starts in four of those outings. He’ll take on the Milwaukee Brewers at home next Monday and with a 3.75 FIP, Lucchesi should remain a worthy fantasy arm.
