6 years agoSan Diego Padres starter Joey Lucchesi was thrashed for seven earned runs in 3 2/3 innings Sunday against the Los Angeles Dodgers. Four of the seven knocks he surrendered were of the extra-base variety including three home runs. The poor outing drops Lucchesi to 8-9 with a 4.14 ERA, 1.32 WHIP and 9.9 K/9. Optically, his numbers look pedestrian after the rough outing but the 25-year-old rookie has still been the Padres best starter this season. His last start of 2018 will come at home against the Arizona Diamondbacks where he’ll be a lower-end fantasy option.--Andrew Le - RotoBaller
