5 years agoSan Diego Padres starter Joey Lucchesi locked down his seventh victory after 6 1/3 strong innings Sunday against the Los Angeles Dodgers. Lucchesi yielded three earned runs via six hits while walking none and fanning four. Lucchesi’s performance secured the Friars first four-game series win at Dodger Stadium since 2004. After a bumpy April, Lucchesi has rebounded nicely, posting a 3.46 ERA in his last 11 starts. He concludes the first half with a 3.94 ERA, 1.11 WHIP and 24 percent strikeout rate in 96 frames.
