2 years agoCincinnati Reds first baseman Joey Votto (back) is back at first base and is hitting cleanup on Tuesday against New York Yankees right-hander Gerrit Cole. Votto is back in the lineup for the first time since suffering a back injury on the Fourth of July. The 38-year-old just hasn't been able to find his footing this year, as he's hitting only .210/.332/.374 with six home runs, 25 RBI and 22 runs scored in 253 plate appearances over 62 games played in 2022. He's returning to a tough matchup against the hard-throwing Cole, too, so we wouldn't blame fantasy managers for keeping him on their benches in his return to action on Tuesday.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
