3 years agoCincinnati Reds first baseman Joey Votto (thumb) combined to go 0-for-6 with a strikeout over both games of a doubleheader with Triple-A Louisville on Friday. Over four games with Louisville now, Votto is hitting 1-for-13 with five strikeouts. It seems like the fractured thumb that has kept him sidelined since May 6 might still be bothering him based on his current rehab performance, although he had been having a down year prior to the injury where he was slashing .226/.305/.425 over 29 games. Managers should continue to monitor his progress on this rehab assignment, as he could be back with Cincinnati by the middle of the month.--Michael Grennell - RotoBaller
