5 years agoCincinnati Reds first baseman Joey Votto went 2-for-4 with a two-run homer in a 4-3 win over the Arizona Diamondbacks on Friday. Votto launched a third-inning pitch from starter Mike Leake for his 15th home run of the season. The veteran first baseman is hitting .268 with a .783 OPS, 75 runs, 46 RBI, and five steals in what has been a down year for the star. He has been heating up of late, hitting .353 with three homers over his past 15 games. Due to his sagging production, Votto isn't a must-start in fantasy but he's still a quality reserve option.--Matt T - RotoBaller
