Joey Votto Homers, Doubles In Lopsided Win
4 years agoCincinnati Reds first baseman Joey Votto went 2-for-5 with a double and a solo homer in a 12-4 win over the Philadelphia Phillies on Monday. Votto went deep in the eighth inning off of Philadelphia reliever Enyel De Los Santos for his first homer since June 14. Overall, Votto is hitting .241 with nine homers, 19 runs, 33 RBI, and a steal across 174 at-bats. Votto has rediscovered his power stroke this season, ranking in the 90th percentile in average exit velocity, 74th percentile in barrel rate, and 84th percentile in hard-hit rate. He has worked his way into the conversation as an everyday starting first baseman in deeper fantasy leagues.
