Joey Votto Homers In Loss
5 years agoCincinnati Reds first baseman Joey Votto went 2-for-4 with a walk and a solo homer in a 4-2 loss to the Philadelphia Phillies on Friday. Votto went yard in the first inning off of Philadelphia starter Zach Eflin. The veteran first baseman is now hitting .251 with a .722 OPS, five homers, 31 runs, 12 RBI, and one steal. While he has shown little power this season, he has been heating up at the plate of late, batting .339 over his past 15 games. Votto has settled in as more of a bench option in fantasy leagues in his age 35 season.
