Joey Votto Picks Up Two Hits In Win
6 years agoCincinnati Reds first baseman Joey Votto went 2-for-4 with a run and an RBI in his team's 5-0 win over the Miami Marlins on Thursday. Votto is now hitting .244 with a .755 OPS, one homer, seven runs, and two RBI in 41 at-bats on the season. While those are OK numbers, Votto's fantasy owners are still waiting for his bat to heat up. While he may not come close to approaching the 36 homers he hit in 2017, Votto remains one of the best pure hitters in the sport. He should be able to pile up the counting stats hitting near the top of what should develop into a strong Cincinnati lineup. Votto will look to stay hot against St. Louis right-hander Adam Wainwright on Saturday.
