3 years agoCincinnati Reds first baseman Joey Votto swatted two more homers in an 8-2 win over the Chicago Cubs on Wednesday. Votto wound up going 2-for-3 with three RBI and two walks in the win. Votto has been one some kind of ridiculous power kick of late, hitting seven homers over his past five games. He tied a Reds franchise record with homers in five straight games on Wednesday. Votto's hot stretch has raised his average to .276, to go along with 19 homers, 37 runs, 56 RBI, and a steal across 261 at-bats. He needs to stay locked into lineups for Thursday's matchup against Cubs starter Alec Mills.--Matt T - RotoBaller
