Joey Votto Stays Hot On Sunday
4 years agoCincinnati Reds first baseman Joey Votto went 3-for-4 with two doubles and two RBI in a 6-3 loss to the Cleveland Indians on Sunday. Votto has been red-hot at the plate of late, picking up three doubles and three homers in his past six games. His overall stat line of .267 with six runs and 10 RBI doesn't look all that impressive but it's worth noting that Votto has been hitting the ball well all season but had been running into some bad luck at the plate over the first couple of weeks of the year. Over the past week, his hits are starting to fall in, which is translating to more success at the plate for the veteran infielder. Votto is worth adding off of waivers in any leagues where he's available.
