4 years agoCincinnati Reds first baseman Joey Votto has tested positive for COVID-19, according to C. Trent Rosencrans of The Athletic. The Reds had announced earlier in the day that Votto was being placed on the injured list with an undisclosed ailment, but Rosencrans reports that Votto has allowed the team to announce his diagnosis through official channels. With Votto out, Scott Heineman looks to be the man in line to get more playing time, as he got the start at first on Wednesday. If Votto is out for a significant period of time, Heineman could be an interesting corner infield option in deep and NL-only leagues for his double-digit home run and steal potential.--Michael Grennell - RotoBaller
