Joey Votto Activated From IL, Returns To Lineup
3 years agoCincinnati Reds' first baseman Joey Votto (thumb) was officially activated from the 10-day injured list ahead of Tuesday's game against the Brewers. He's been sidelined since May 5th with a fractured left thumb. The 37-year-old is starting at first base and hitting cleanup for Tuesday's game. Votto went 1-for-13 with five strikeouts across four games during a minor league rehab assignment last week. The veteran first baseman is slashing .226/.305/.425 with five home runs, 17 RBI, and nine runs scored across 118 plate appearances in 2021. Fantasy managers who have been holding onto Votto can go ahead and add him back into their starting lineups.
