4 years agoTampa Bay Rays infielder Joey Wendle is getting the start at shortstop and batting sixth against Red Sox right-hander Nathan Eovaldi on Tuesday. Wendle is 7-for-24 on the young season, including a homer and a double, and is 3-for-5 with a homer versus Eovaldi. The 30-year-old has found consistent playing time all around the infield for the Rays this season after he missed over half of the 2019 campaign due to injury.
