6 years agoTampa Bay Rays second baseman Joey Wendle was placed on the 10-day injured list on Monday morning with a strained left hamstring. Wendle hurt himself attempting to steal a base during Sunday's game against the Houston Astros. Daniel Robertson and Brandon Lowe will likely see the bulk of playing time at second base in Wendle's absence, but Christian Arroyo was also called up in a corresponding move. Lowe is the most intriguing fantasy option after hitting .377 with three home runs and 17 RBI in Grapefruit League play this spring. If he gets consistent playing time, he is a worthy pickup in deeper mixed leagues.--Raymond Harrison - RotoBaller
