4 years agoTampa Bay Rays infielder Joey Wendle launched two home runs on Thursday afternoon as he finished 4-for-6 with a double, two RBI and two runs scored in a 10-1 win over the Orioles. It was the first multi-homer performance of Wendle's career, as he now has five home runs on the year and is slashing .309/.354/537 over 41 games. 2021 is shaping up to be a breakout year for Wendle, who has nearly eclipsed his previous career-high of seven home runs in less than one-third of the games it took him to reach that mark in 2018.
