5 years agoTampa Bay Rays utilityman Joey Wendle (wrist) is expected to be activated off of the injured list on Friday. Wendle was very productive in his rookie season in 2018 slashing .300/.354/.435 with seven home runs and 16 steals. He was also fourth in AL rookie of the year voting. Despite his eligibility at nearly every infield position and outfield, it's hard to see exactly where and how often he'll slot into the lineup. His return could push Brandon Lowe, Willy Adames, Yandy Diaz, or Ji-Man Choi out of some playing time. Keep an eye on how often Manager Kevin Cash gets him into the lineup. He's not someone to rush out and add until the situation shakes out.--Zach Alexander
