3 years agoSt. Louis Cardinals starting pitcher Johan Oviedo took another loss on Wednesday despite not pitching particularly poorly. It was a short start though, as Oviedo lasted just four innings, allowing two runs on three hits and four walks while striking out three. He needed 80 pitches to get just 12 outs, and has now walked 31 batters while recording only 40 strikeouts. The loss drops his record to 0-5 and brings his ERA to 5.09. With Carlos Martinez (thumb) expected to be out for an extended period of time, Oviedo may keep his spot in the Cardinals rotation just out of necessity. He shouldn't be rostered in most mixed leagues, though.--David A Marcillo - RotoBaller
