3 years agoThe Las Vegas Raiders released wide receiver John Brown on Tuesday per the player's request, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reported. The 31-year-old veteran wideout figured to be part of the Raiders offensive attack when he signed with the team last March, but he was pushed down the depth chart during the preseason and was highly unlikely to get work over the likes of youngsters Henry Ruggs III and Bryan Edwards. Suffice to say, Ruggs and Edwards now have increased fantasy potential with Brown hitting free agency. Brown could have some fantasy upside if he stays healthy, but that remains to be seen.--Chelena Goldman
