3 years agoWashington Capitals defenseman John Carlson registered two assists in Wednesday's 4-3 overtime loss to the Oilers. He bagged both of his helpers on T.J. Oshie's goals, with one coming on the power-play. Carlson had a bad start to 2022, but he's improved in recent weeks and will head into Friday's matchup against the Canucks with a run of 13 points in 12 games. The recent scoring surge has upped Carlson's tally for the season to 47 points. Most of his recent points have come with the man advantage and that sets him up nicely for another good outing on Friday, with Vancouver having the league's worst penalty-killing percentage at 70.9.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
