7 years agoSt. Louis Cardinals right-handed relief pitcher John Gant was optioned to Triple-A Memphis on Friday. Gant was called up on Thursday, picked up a win by pitching three perfect frames in extra innings and will now make his way back to Memphis. He was starting in the minors and will likely return to that role, even though he's more likely to work as a reliever with the big club.--David A Marcillo - RotoBaller
