7 years agoDetroit Tigers catcher/first baseman John Hicks (rest) is not in the starting lineup for Friday's game against the Texas Rangers. Jim Adduci will bat fifth and play first base against righty Bartolo Colon. Hicks is getting a routine day off on Friday, but is worth a look in mixed leagues. The fact that he's catcher eligible in most leagues makes him more valuable since many catchers don't hit for average like Hicks.--Andy Webb - RotoBaller
