3 years agoSan Francisco 49ers wide receiver Deebo Samuel still wants to play for a new team. Yet, general manager John Lynch recently stated he believes he can "smooth things over" with the disgruntled superstar. While Lynch didn't care to elaborate on any recent discussions he's had with Samuel, it appears there's still a chance the hybrid wideout could remain in the Bay Area moving ahead. The 26-year-old is coming off his best year as a professional, finishing the 2021-22 season with 1,405 receiving yards and six touchdowns off 77 receptions. He also ran for 365 yards and found the end zone eight more times using his legs. Nonetheless, it's certainly not a definite that Samuel will rescind his request for a trade.
