John Means Could Be Limited In Start Tuesday
3 years agoBaltimore Orioles starting pitcher John Means (shoulder) will likely be held to a tight limit in his first start back from the injured list on Tuesday, according to Dan Connolly of The Athletic. Manager Brandon Hyde said that he wants to keep Means "healthy for the next couple of months," and because of that the team will be paying close attention to his performance against the Rays. This could end up being a non-issue for fantasy managers if Means pitches well in his first start since suffering a shoulder strain at the beginning of June, but it could also mean that he will be at risk of being pulled from the game more quickly than he otherwise might be. Managers may want to consider keeping him on the bench just in case for this first start, but going forward can slot him back into the lineup again.
