John Means Takes Tough Loss Thursday
3 years agoBaltimore Orioles starting pitcher John Means fell to 5-7 in Thursday's 6-0 loss to the Royals. Means pitched 7 strong innings, allowing two runs on five hits (including a solo home run) and two walks with five strikeouts. However, the O's weren't able to get their bats going to provide any support. The 28-year-old has pitched well this season, compiling 3.42 ERA and 8.12 K/9 rate over 22 starts. His next start should come at home against a scuffling Yankees lineup. He is worth starting for fantasy managers in the playoffs.
