2 years agoChicago White Sox starting pitcher Johnny Cueto got touched up for five earned runs on Saturday as his club fell to the Cubs 5-1. Cueto struggled out of the gate by allowing three runs through the first two innings, and then he ran out of gas in the seventh frame when he allowed a couple more runs to score. He finished the night allowing nine hits and three walks while striking out two over 6 2/3 IP, tossing 98 pitches as his record dipped to 0-1. Through three starts the veteran holds a 2.41 ERA and 1.29 WHIP with a 14/7 K/BB as he looks ahead to a matchup with the Blue Jays next week.--Riley Mrack - RotoBaller
