Johnny Cueto Picks Up Fourth Win
2 years agoChicago White Sox starting pitcher Johnny Cueto evened his record to 4-4 on the season as his club handily defeated the Twins 12-2 on Thursday. The veteran allowed one run on seven hits while striking out five and walking a pair over six frames of work, throwing 118 pitches on the evening. The only run he allowed came around in the second after Gio Urshela swatted an RBI double, as he's now posted a stellar 1.35 ERA through three starts so far in July. Cueto also hasn't allowed more than three runs in a game since the end of May as he holds a respectable 2.80 ERA and 1.18 WHIP with a 58/20 K/BB heading into the break.
