6 years agoMiami Marlins outfielder Jon Berti went 1-for-4 on Tuesday, reaching base on a single in the third while striking out twice in the loss to the Rays. After sporting a .158 average in April, the 29-year-old has picked it up a bit in May, bolstering an average of .296 while supplying eight hits with a homer on 27 at-bats. With the Marlins looking to get a spark from somewhere, Berti should continue to appear in the lineup on a semi-routine basis until he provides consistency on the offensive side of the ball.--Dennis Clausen - RotoBaller
