2 years agoMiami Marlins infielder/outfielder Jon Berti (hip) was removed from Wednesday's loss to the Tampa Bay Rays with right hip soreness. He went 2-for-4 with a home run and a steal before exiting during the eighth inning of Wednesday's game. The 32-year-old is considered day-to-day. Miami is off on Thursday; Berti's next chance to return to the lineup will be Friday against the Atlanta Braves. He is a vital asset in 5x5 rotisserie leagues and leads the majors with 32 stolen bases. Luke Williams replaced Berti in Wednesday's contest. Williams would handle third-base duties and see an uptick in playing time if Berti misses any games.--Brad Camara - RotoBaller
