Jon Gray Takes First Loss Of The Season On Wednesday
4 years agoColorado Rockies right-hander Jon Gray was handed the loss on Wednesday when he allowed three runs on five hits with a pair of walks and three strikeouts in a 4-2 loss to the Dodgers. Gray ran into some issues in the first inning when he allowed the first two runners to reach. Justin Turner then singled in a run before Gavin Lux hit a sacrifice fly to drive in another. Turner would get to Gray later in the third inning when he swatted a solo home run. All in all, it wasn't Gray's best performance, and the anemic Rockies offense provided no run support for him. The 29-year-old hurler now owns a 2.87 ERA, 1.15 WHIP and 15:7 K/BB ratio over 15 2/3 innings. He gets the Astros at home in his next turn, which won't be easy, and he isn't a recommended fantasy play in that one.
