3 years agoColorado Rockies right-hander Jon Gray took a no-decision on Sunday when he allowed three runs on two hits with three strikeouts and two walks over six innings in a 4-3 win over the Diamondbacks. Gray was rolling through his first five innings, holding the D-Backs to just one hit. But he slipped up in the sixth frame when he issued two walks, a sacrifice fly, and a two-run blast off the bat of Pavin Smith. He finished off the inning but exited the game with the Rockies facing a 3-2 deficit. The 29-year-old hurler now owns a 4-4 record, 3.59 ERA, 1.20 WHIP, and 48:22 K/BB ratio over 57 2/3 innings (10 starts). He's been the Rockies' most consistent pitcher and surprisingly has been much better in Coors Field than on the road. He's posted a 2.36 ERA over seven home starts and a 6.89 ERA in three road turns. Gray has a favorable matchup on the road in Pittsburgh next week.--Jon Mathisen - RotoBaller
